“Your Virtual Health Coach” is a 25-week plan for anyone who wishes to make significant healthy lifestyle changes.
The plan guides you towards your healthiest self by addressing 3 fundamental aspects of a healthy lifestyle:
- Physical Activity
- Mind Care
It is above all, a tool to help clarify the vast and often contradictory array of health “advice” that is available. It is born from a need to offer my patients more than I could offer them in the office setting. It is the product of information and knowledge accumulated over 20 years of clinical practice in family medicine, lifestyle counselling and extensive research and review of studies and recommendations (Health Canada, USDA, Harvard School of Public Health, WHO). In the development of “Your Virtual Health Coach” I have also reviewed many of the popular diet plans, including the Atkins Diet, the South Beach Diet, the GI index, Healthy For Life Plan, Wheat Belly etc.
The advice offered in this plan is based on recommendations supported by the medical community and recognized health groups like Health Canada, the Heart and Stroke Association, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Dietitians of Canada.
“Your Virtual Health Coach” promotes the use of healthy REAL WHOLE FOOD while avoiding fads, trends, supplements and meal replacements. It will guide you towards the “new you” with an enjoyable and deeply satisfying way of living.
The program offers clear and specific advice instead of simple general statements like “moderation”, “low cholesterol”, “low fat”, “low calorie” or even “avoid bad cabs”.
“Your Virtual Health Coach” acts as a guide, a support system and a motivator to encourage better and better lifestyle choices.
The plan is structured in a way to allow each individual to implement dietary and physical activity changes at a rate that they are comfortable with.
Enjoy the journey,
